Age Group

This area caters for 15 children aged from 2 to 3 years.

Staff

With a ratio of one staff member to five children, this room is supervised by three mature and experienced staff in a loving and nurturing environment.

Routine

Staff are aware of each child's routine and ensure that it is followed. Programs are used as a guide, but staff will observe children and allow the day to follow their interests.

Play Areas

Large room and own shaded outdoor area with sand pit, slide and cars. Water play is allowed in appropriate weather.

Activities

This age group is starting to learn about friendships, but generally they are playing side by side rather than together. To encourage interaction we have a friendship board so each child can see each other on the board.

Group activities include cooking, painting, gluing, singing and mat time.

Other features include a home corner with train sets, cars, books and puzzles.
